Selina Wilde

Welcome to Wilde pottery!
Firstly, I’d love to tell you a little about how I’ve got to where I am today - Our family have a strong history within the art world and I have grown up watching my mum create amazing artwork with clay.
As a family we have moved around quite a bit and taken little bits from everywhere we’ve lived.
My mother studied pottery in England and Africa, then taught out in Papua New Guinea, where we grew up.
As children we watched my mum making amazing pieces pottery, (which was inspiring), and my Dad helped out by building some of the kilns. The smell of hot burning embers of Raku are nostalgic and remind me of growing up.
My life has been busy over the last 10 years, mainly bringing up two amazing, children which has been my greatest achievement! Now they are older I have the time to share what I have learnt with likeminded people!
My goal is now to share what I have learnt from my mother, and give others the opportunity to experience the magic of Raku pottery!
